Free Recreational Vehicle Camping Near Concrete WashingtonSeasonal free RV camping, and peak season fee campsites are available north of Concrete along Baker Lake in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. Fabulous scenery, unlimited outdoor recreation opportunities, and free RV camping at a private company maintained developed campground.Concrete
is located on state highway 20 about 30 miles east of I-5, or about 20
miles east of Sedro-Woolley. Concrete has a small general store with
limited
grocery items, and liquor store. Fuel is also available.
Known as Minnehaha, Baker, and Cement City, the town adopted
it's current name of Concrete in 1909.
RV Camping - Kulshan CampgroundFrom Labor Day, to Memorial Day, the Kulshan campground charges a reasonable fee, but off peak months, camping is free, and the facilities are first rate! This campground is maintained by Pueget Power as part of the Baker Lake Dam project. Facilities include flush and chemical toilets, picnic tables, fire rings, water, and an RV dump station. Fabulous views, hiking, fishing, and boating are some of the outdoor recreation activities available.The
campground is divided into two areas by a water canal. The
area pictured above is in the eastern section of the campground with Mt
Baker in the backround and is more open, while the lower picture shows
the heavy shade available in the section located on the west side of
the canal.
Nearby Outdoor RecreationThe Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest extends more than 140 miles along the western slope of the Cascade Mountains. From the Canadian border on the north, to Mt. Rainier National Park on the south, this popular national forest offers all types of outdoor recreation opportunities. The Baker Lake area offers miles of trails, boating, and fishing. The scenery is fantastic, and for those looking for something different, there are reports of Bigfoot in the area.There
is a public boat ramp available, and miles of Baker Lake shore
available for fishing and primitive boat-in or hike-in
camping. The Cascade Mountains offer a spectactular backdrop
for an RV camping location
